Transportation in Ephrata

The Ephrata School District operates 40 school buses that, together, travel more than 200,000 miles on 29 routes each school year. Buses are inspected by the Washington State Patrol three times a year to ensure that students and drivers are kept safe at all times. Our in-house mechanics perform regular maintenance and repair issues as needed. Safety is our top priority.

We staff more than 30 bus drivers, along with substitute drivers and bus monitors to keep our buses moving. Each day, more than 2,000 Ephrata students ride a bus.

Ephrata buses are busy! We run 20 general routes, four special education routes and four preschool routes depending student enrollment. Our drivers are amazing and helpful. Make sure to brake for them (and give them a wave) when you see them in action.
