First Quarter Reminders & Important Updates

Dear Ephrata Families,
Can you believe the first quarter of the school year is already behind us? As we move into the second quarter, we want to thank you for being an active partner in your child’s educational journey.
Below are a few key updates, reminders, and district resources to help keep your family informed and supported:
1. Grades & Attendance (Skyward)
Now is an ideal time to log into Skyward and sit down with your student to review their first-quarter grades.
- Regular, on-time attendance is vital to student learning and overall success.
- Thank you for working with us to reinforce strong attendance and study habits at home!
2. Stay Connected with ParentSquare
Timely communication is essential, especially as winter approaches. ParentSquare is the primary platform where district and school reminders go directly to you.
- Any weather-related late starts, emergency closures, or urgent safety updates will be communicated via ParentSquare.
- Learn more and verify your account HERE
3. Upcoming Holiday & District Calendar
- No School — Wednesday, November 11: All schools and district offices will be closed in observance of Veterans Day.
- Stay up to date on all upcoming holidays, early releases, and school events by viewing our full district calendar
4. Free Student Meals (USDA CEP Program)
Through the USDA’s Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), all meals continue to be free for every Ephrata School District student.
5. Digital Safety: Bark Parent Portal
Earlier this school year, the district launched the Bark Parent Portal, offering families an extra layer of visibility and partnership.
- Bark helps you monitor your student’s official Ephrata Schools Google account for potential digital safety and wellness concerns.
- Find setup instructions and learn more here
Thank you for your ongoing partnership, support, and dedication to our students.
