Candidate Sought for Open Ephrata School Board Position

The Ephrata School District is seeking individuals interested in filling an open position on the district's school board. The vacancy comes following the announced departure of Director Jim Adams, who stepped down from the board on June 30.
By rule, the Ephrata School Board will appoint an individual to serve the remainder of Adams’s term, which expires in December 2029. Qualified applicants must be United States citizens, be qualified voter residents and live within the boundaries of Director District #4. Applications are due by Friday, July 24 at 3:00 p.m.
To apply, candidates must provide a biographical sketch or resume and a statement describing why they wish to serve on the board. Neither the sketch/resume nor the statement should exceed one page typed. Additional information, the online application and maps of Director District #4 can be found on the Ephrata School District website or are available at the District Office.
Candidate interviews will be held in August, prior to the board meeting. Administration of the successful candidate’s Oath of Office will occur at the August 24 school board meeting.
