Ephrata Schools Announce Free Summer Food Service Schedule

The Ephrata School District will again provide meal service both on-site and via grab-and-go meals for children this summer. On-site meals will be available Monday through Thursday at Columbia Ridge Elementary and Ephrata High School. Grab and go boxes will be available for pick-up twice a week at Ephrata Middle School and will feed children breakfast and lunch for seven days. 

Funding for the on-site and grab-and-go meals comes entirely from the United States Department of Agriculture Summer Food Service Program. This federally funded, state administered program reimburses program operators, like the Ephrata School District, who serve no-cost, healthy meals and snacks to children and teens. 

The Summer Food Service Program will begin on Monday, June 15. Breakfast and lunch will be served at Columbia Ridge Elementary and Ephrata High School to children 18 years and younger. Food Service location and schedule is as follows:

Columbia Ridge Elementary Elementary On-Site Meals: 60 H Street SE, Ephrata WA

Date:                 June 15 to July 16
Breakfast:         8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
Lunch:              11:45 to 1:00 p.m.

Ephrata High School On-site Meals: 333 4th Avenue NW, Ephrata WA

Date:                 June 15 to July 2
Breakfast:         8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
Lunch:              11:45 to 1:00 p.m.

The Summer Food Service Program offered at these facilities is required to be consumed on-site. 

Grab-and-go meals will be distributed through a drive through line at Ephrata Middle School on Mondays and Thursdays from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. from June 15 to July 27. Monday meal boxes will feed children for three days and Thursday boxes will feed children for four days. Parents must complete a sign-in sheet before taking delivery of the food. Children do not need to be present for meal pick-up.

Grab-and-go:   12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

On-site and grab-and-go meals are free to all children ages 18 years and younger, regardless of family income level.
