Safety Study Hall
A New Resource from the Washington Department of Health for Schools, Families and students
The Washington State Department of Health launched the Safety Study Hall Website in 2024. This new and valuable resource has key health and safety topics for schools, students and families. The site covers important information on preventing substance use, and the safe storage of prescription and over-the-counter medications, firearms and ammunition, as outlined in House Bill 1230.
Safety Study Hall is part of a broader effort to promote safety in school and communities across the state. Schools, school district and educational service districts are required by state law to take specific actions to ensure these resources are accessible to their communities.
For questions about the Safety Study Hall or its content, please contact the Washington State Department of Health.
