If you are a teacher at the Ephrata School District you will receive an email from Remind with a link and directions to log in. Be sure to check your school email inbox to find the email (or check your junk or spam folder). If you have previously used Remind prior to 2022 as a non-staff member you will likely need to "merge" your Remind accounts using the instructions provided.

Check your school email inbox for a Remind Message:

• If you are new to Remind: Look for an email with a link to claim your account. The Ephrata School District created this account for you. Click Claim your account in the email and follow the prompts to create a password and setup your account. If you are a Teacher you will need to claim the classes created for you. These classes are automatically rostered from Skyward.

 

• If you already have an account on Remind: Look for an email (in your school district email) with a link to claim your account. Click Claim your account in the email and when asked if you've used Remind before, select Yes, I have. You will then be prompted to enter your existing/previous account credentials. Remind will link your existing Remind account with the one created by the Ephrata School District. If you are a Teacher, follow the prompts to claim the classes that have been automatically created for you. You will still be able to access all of your pre-existing classes and contacts in your account. 

It is important that you merge your accounts to ensure you receive all messages from the district. Follow these simple steps to merge accounts. 

 

• Unable to locate the Remind email?

If you can’t find the Remind email in your school inbox, go to this link and type in your school email address to access your rostered account.

STEP 1: Make sure your accounts are merged:

If you are an employee and a parent, you may have two Remind accounts. Make sure to merge your accounts to ensure you receive all messages from the district. Follow these simple steps to merge accounts. 

STEP 2: Verify Ephrata Schools has your current contact information:

1. Log into Skyward Family Access
2. Click on "My Account" in the top, right corner

3. Verify that the phone number listed in “Employee Access” is your current cell phone number. If you are also a parent in the district, make sure your number is correct in “Family Access” as well. If your contact information is incorrect, you will need to contact the district payroll department to update.

STEP 3: Check Notification Settings in Remind:

1. Log into Remind.com or use the Remind App by entering your phone number and password. If you are unsure of your password, just hit the “forgot password” button and follow the steps to create a new login.
2. Follow these simple steps to check your notification settings.

*NOTE: If you are a teacher with synced classes in Remind and/or a parent with students in the District and you delete your primary phone number in Remind, you may still receive Remind messages. Our Remind system links to Skyward and is refreshed each evening, which means your deleted phone number will be restored to Remind . If you no longer want to receive notifications, please change your notification settings using the instructions in Step 2 above.

STEP 4: If All Else Fails, Check to Make Sure You Didn't Opt Out:

If, after verifying your contact information in Skyward and checking your notification settings in Remind, you still are not receiving messages, try opting back in - To rejoin a Remind group, follow these instructions:

The Ephrata School District Automatically Rosters Classes for Teachers, Students and Parents from Skyward. Using these rostered classes helps assure that student and parent contact information is consistent and accurate. 

 

• How to Claim your classes:

Review your class list in Remind and click Finish to add those classes to your account and complete the set up. The classes will be added to your account without affecting any existing classes in your account.

*Please note, classes can be claimed by logging in to Remind through our website or on our mobile app.

 

• How to Change a Class Name:

Rostered Classes are created with a class name such as, "ENG301/12 - ENGLISH 11 - HENDRIXSON - 02." Teachers can change a class name at any time on web or in the app.

 

• How to Archive Classes:

If you'd like to archive rostered or old manually created classes you may own, you can do so by clicking on the three dots to the right of the class name and selecting Archive. Once new classes are confirmed, you can archive the classes at any time. Archived classes can also be restored.

 

• How to Manually Creating Classes that may not be automatically rostered (Teams/Clubs):

You are now ready to send your first Remind message!

To send a message, click the blue pencil composer and select the class you would like to send your message to.

 

Class announcements are sent to all members of your class. When a participant replies to a class announcement, only the class owner who sent the message will receive the response. 

Group conversations allow you to select up to 9 other participants (totaling 10 in the conversation) to start a group conversation. When you send a message in your group conversation, all participants will see one another as well as the responses. To find group conversations, scroll past your classes in the composer. 

An individual message is a chat between you and one other participant. Only you and the participant can see this type of message.
