Superintendent Community Message: January 16

Superintendent Ken Murray presents to an audience

Tiger Community:

Thank you to everyone who attended last night’s Community Town Hall on the Educational Programs and Operations (EP & O) Levy. Your presence and participation are a testament to the strength and commitment of our community to learning more about important topics.

Last night we were blessed to have a good number of students in the audience, many of which were present to fulfill a class requirement. Their engagement in this process, seeing democracy in action and learning about civic responsibility, is meaningful. Teaching our students to be informed and active members of the community lays the foundation for their future and strengthens our shared values as a community.

The decision to vote on a levy is a significant one, and being an informed voter is crucial. If you were unable to attend the Community Town Hall, there are still plenty of ways to get your questions answered and stay informed. Here are some opportunities to learn more:
Coffee / Cocoa with Ken: Wednesday, January 22 from 8-11 a.m. at the Bookery. Drop by to ask questions about the levy or anything else related to Ephrata Schools.

Watch the video recording of last night’s Town Hall Meeting.

Visit TigersVote.org for frequently asked questions, presentation materials and other information that will help educate you on the levy.

Please remember to cast your vote on February 11. Participating in the electoral process is one of the most important ways we can all contribute to our community and to the future of Ephrata and its schools.

Sincerely,
Ken Murray
Superintendent, Ephrata School District
