Tim Payne, Ephrata School District Superintendent

The Ephrata School District is working to develop plans to transition to remote learning should the need arise from the continued spread of COVID-19. We ARE NOT moving to on-line learning at this time.

To ensure our students are successful in transitioning to remote learning, we’re asking that families who do not have Internet access at home, please call your child’s school or complete the form sent home with students today. The form can also be completed on-line in English here and in Spanish here.

The Ephrata School District will use your confidential response to determine the distribution of free Internet Hotspots. These Hotspots will be loaned to families in need for the duration of any remote learning necessary.

Please return this form to your child(ren)’s school(s) by Friday, January 21. Only one form must be completed per family.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please reach out to the appropriate school office:

Please note the Ephrata School District hotspot program is temporary. We encourage you to apply for the Affordable Connectivity Program, an FCC program that helps families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Affordable Connectivity Program will provide a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price.

Thank you for your cooperation and assistance.
