🚌 New Bus Routing Software to Boost Safety, Efficiency
The Ephrata School Board approved the purchase of Transfinder bus routing software at a cost of $28,741, replacing the district’s outdated system that is no longer supported by its vendor. Transfinder will help maintain fleet information for maximum safety and efficiency, streamline attendance tracking through real-time integration with the district’s student information system, and give drivers tools to verify ridership with student photos. The software also creates optimized routes and schedules to support timely arrivals, reduce fuel use and provide a smoother experience for students and drivers.

🏫🎭 EHS PAC Roof Set for Partial Replacement
The Ephrata School Board approved a project to replace a portion of the EHS Performing Arts Center (PAC) roof, addressing water penetration under the existing roof membrane. While the roof is not currently leaking, issues are expected soon. Construction will focus on the “hallway” section connecting the PAC gymnasium and auditorium and is scheduled to be completed before Winter Break. Weatherproofing Technologies, Inc. will complete the work for a total cost of $45,352.
