Thank You School Board Director Bill Correll
During this week's School Board meeting, Ephrata School District administrators and board directors took time to recognize long-time board member, Bill Correll. Monday’s meeting was Correll’s final as a board member. He is stepping down after 37 years of service to Ephrata Schools.
“We are incredibly grateful for Bill’s dedication and diligent support of Ephrata Schools,” said Ephrata School District Superintendent, Tim Payne. “It has truly been an honor to work with Bill. His institutional knowledge of our district is second to none. He will truly be missed.”
Former Interim Superintendent, Dan Martell was in attendance at the celebration and expressed his gratitude to Correll for his years of service. According to Martell, Correll always focused on the “Three ‘S’es: Students, Staff and Stuff - in that order.” Being consistent and putting students and staff first means that the stuff will work itself out.
We thank Director Correll for his consistency and dedication to the “Three ‘S’es.”
Michael Fleurkens was recently elected to fill Bill Correll’s position on the school board. Fleurkens will be sworn in during the December school board meeting along with Josh Sainsbury, who was re-elected to his position.
