Scarlet Wilson Named Columbia Ridge Elementary Dean of Students
The Ephrata School District is pleased to announce Scarlet Wilson has been named as Columbia Ridge Elementary’s new Dean of Students.
The Dean of Students assists with the daily operations of the school. Specifically responsible for attendance, behavior (including discipline) and intervention services. The dean also offers leadership and guidance to ensure the school meets Ephrata’s mission to exist for Kids & Learning.
“I’m looking forward to joining the Columbia Ridge team,” said Wilson. “Ephrata is home to me and I love this community. I’m excited to meet all of our students, build on the positive culture of Columbia Ridge and help create good citizens for our community.”
Wilson is a longtime resident of Grant County. She has been a teacher in neighboring districts, including Quincy, Soap Lake and Wilson Creek. While in Soap Lake, she acted as the district’s dean of students in addition to her teaching responsibilities.
Wilson’s Bachelor’s Degree in Education is from Pacific Lutheran University. Her Masters in Education and her Administrator Credentials are both from Grand Canyon University.
“Scarlet has an amazing reputation as an educator and a leader,” said Karla Williams, Columbia Ridge Elementary Principal. “She brings a diverse background to Columbia Ridge. We’re excited to have her join our team and enhance the strong foundation we’ve started at our school.”
Wilson will replace Deb Knox as Dean of Students for Columbia Ridge Elementary. Knox was recently named as Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning for the Ephrata School District
