Trusses for the new Ephrata School District storage building were delivered this week as crews continue site preparation for the new building. The storage facility will be located directly to the East of the EHS Soccer Complex. Earth work is ongoing as the site is brought up to the required height to comply with floodplain regulations.

The new building, which was part of a capital levy approved by Ephrata voters in 2022, will measure 40 by 100 feet and will consolidate storage for the school district. Right now, the district has one on-site facility, rents two off-site buildings and leases 10 storage containers which are housed on district property. Construction of the building will provide capacity for future school construction projects and future district storage needs while saving just over $2,400 in monthly storage rental costs. Construction is expected to be completed in September.
