Technology

The Technology Department is the backbone of the Ephrata School District. They maintain critical infrastructure across all of our schools to keep technology running and students learning. The Tech Department also provides support for District services including security, phones, network accounts and software programs.
The Ephrata School District and the Tech Department are actively working towards standardizing equipment in every classroom including interactive whiteboard Prometheans and document cameras. This effort is critical as each of our students has access to and uses Chromebooks in the classroom and at home.

DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP, MEDIA LITERACY AND INTERNET SAFETY

Students use technology to play, learn, and communicate while at home and at school. It is important that they learn how to use that technology responsibly.

The District is committed to educating every student on how to use technology in ways that:

  • Augment their learning experience.
  • Leading to analysis, evaluation, reflection, and enhanced skills of expression.

As the District’s educators guide exploration of the digital landscape, they will:

  • Encourage students to be critical and creative thinkers.
  • Students, in turn, are expected to actively engage with and express their voices in the digital landscape.
